The Human Brain and Senses CD-ROM contains resources for exploring how our brain perceives the world through our senses. In-depth illustrations and animations provide a view of how the sense receptors look and work. QTVR movies give a 3-D view of the brain. The Imaging Lab demonstrates how MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and EEG (Electro-Encephalogram) techniques help us see inside the living brain. Other features include the Optics Bench where three different optical properties are explored (Optometry, Focal points, and the Bending of Light,) and the Games Room, containing a Memory Game, Optical Illusions and more. This CD-ROM is intimately tied to the FOSS Human Brain and Senses Middle School mini-course.
