The Planetary Science Resources CD-ROM contains intensive and engaging ways to explore the solar system. The relations between the moon and the earth are presented in detailed games and in user-controlled animations, from either the earth's surface or from space. In one feature, students can find out why the Earth is round using a boat and a lighthouse as frames of reference. Over 600 Photographs of our solar system, animation of moon formation theories, animations of crater formation, and other information is available through binders that students can browse. This CD-ROM is intimately tied to the FOSS Planetary Science Middle School mini-course.
